"KING" ARTHUR PAYTON

SUPPORT LOCAL FIGHTERS

ABOUT THE FIGHTER

Born in DC and raised in Fort Washington, MD, Arthur Payton's path to Muay Thai royalty was one of dramatic transformation. Initially working retail jobs he disliked, a live UFC event ignited a fire within him. Weighing over 300 pounds at the time, Arthur committed to a life change, shedding 60-70 pounds even before formally training. He joined Kaizen MMA at 23 and, despite a challenging first fight against a much heavier opponent, quickly found his stride, especially after focusing on Muay Thai under Coach Dave Chun.

Arthur's dedication was unwavering, leading to a total weight loss of 100 pounds and a string of victories, including the TCB Middleweight Championship. A crowning achievement was winning gold for Team USA at the ISKA Championships in Thailand after just 11 fights – an experience he describes as amazing, still giving him goosebumps. His proudest moment came in 2024, winning the WKA National Open Championship, a victory that was part of Kaizen MMA's dominant 17-3 record and a special tribute to his departing coach. Arthur continued his championship reign in 2025, capturing another WKA National Open Championship, this time in the kickboxing division.

Now the head kickboxing coach at Kaizen MMA in Fairfax, VA, "KING" Arthur Payton is preparing to turn professional, but not before settling unfinished business. He embodies the spirit of a showman and a warrior: "I always put on a show for everyone who buys a ticket, and I give my opponent the absolute best I have to offer." Support Arthur as he continues to reign in the ring and inspire with his incredible journey.
