ABOUT LUK

From Zürich, Switzerland, Luk "KILLER" Messerli's path to professional kickboxing began with a family legacy. Growing up with a grandfather who practiced martial arts, Luk was immersed in combat sports from an early age. Starting kickboxing in 2018 while working as a mailman, he grew up doing martial arts and simply stuck to it - what began as a childhood activity evolved into a professional fighting career.

At just 20 years old, Luk has already established himself as a force in both K-1 and Muay Thai. His professional record tells the story: 3-1 in K-1 and an undefeated 5-0 in Muay Thai. His trophy case includes the Pro K-1 PKA World Championship, Pro IKSA European Championship, and semi-pro WKU European Championship. For Luk, the PKA World Championship stands as his greatest achievement - the pinnacle moment of his career so far.

But the journey wasn't always victories. Early in his career, Luk lost a lot of amateur fights. Most fighters would've questioned whether they belonged in the sport. Luk kept training. Then came the knockout - a brutal moment that could have ended everything. Instead, it ignited something deeper. After getting knocked out, Luk started training harder and more intensely than ever before. The losses became fuel, and what followed was a winning streak that continues to this day.

Now training full-time at Powerhouse Phuket in Thailand under Coach Stefanovski and Team Stefanovski, Luk has refined his Dutch style kickboxing into a devastating weapon. He puts relentless pressure on opponents, walking them down with no escape. His signature technique - the left hook thrown after every combination - has become his calling card. Opponents know it's coming, but they can't stop it.

His mindset reflects the confidence of a world champion tempered by the wisdom of someone who's been humbled: "My mindset is that I'm the best, but I keep in mind that everything can happen in a fight." It's the balance of supreme confidence and respect for the unpredictability of combat.

Guided by his philosophy that "you can learn a lot through martial arts, both in and out of the ring, and you definitely become more mature," Luk sees fighting as more than violence - it's personal development. His fighting philosophy is captured in his own words: "You might win some, you might lose some, but you go in, you challenge yourself, you become a better man, a better fighter."

For Luk, Muay Thai means structure and discipline. "I love to compete, and that's exactly what I get from this sport." That competitive fire drives everything - the training, the sacrifices, the relentless pursuit of excellence.

Living in Thailand allows Luk to train full-time without the distractions of a day job, though when he returns home to Switzerland, he'll need to balance work life with his fighting career once again. It's a sacrifice he's willing to make, supported by his family, friends, and especially his girlfriend, who has been crucial to his journey.

His current goal is unwavering: reach the top of the kickboxing ranks. With his next professional fight scheduled for February 7th at Gladiators Fight Night in Zürich, Luk is bringing the fight back home. And he wants everyone to know one thing: "I always try to put on a show for the people who are watching."

What makes Luk's story inspiring is the resilience - losing repeatedly as an amateur, getting knocked out, but refusing to quit. "Never give up when it gets hard," he says. Now he's a world champion on an undefeated Muay Thai streak, proving that persistence through adversity builds champions.

His message to supporters is humble and grateful: "Thank you to everyone that supports me and you are a part of my journey."

Support Luk "KILLER" Messerli as he continues his undefeated Muay Thai streak and climbs toward the top of the kickboxing world - a Swiss warrior proving that champions are built through the refusal to quit when it gets hard.
